Burgundian Red
An elegant rich claret red inspred by the 19th century neo-renaissance syle of flamboyant design partly influenced by Catherine de Medici the wife of Francis 1st

Kitchen cupboard
A small bedside table painted in Burgundian Red with Duck Egg Blue edging and painted brass knob.
Madder
ADD OLD WHITE - to make 'Madder'
Mix equal parts of Old White and Burgundian Red to make a rich very slightly pink red, the colour you find in Persian and Turkish carpets, so I've called it after the MADDER dye used in their making
Pemberley
ADD MORE OLD WHITE- to make' Pemberley'
Mix 3 parts of Burgundian Red to 1 part of Old White
to make a warm dusky hue, the colour of plums and cream.
I named it PEMBERLEY because it looks like the colour of a dress in Pride and Prejudice

Burgundian Red Walls
Graphite and Burgundian combination
With Graphite as the base for this sample, the Burgundian Red becomes like a mahogony red wood.
Burgundian and Aubusson Combination
Imagine a cupboard or desk painted in this beautiful combination of colours - Bugundian Red is the colour underneath Aubusson Blue. In a room of creams and greys this would look stunning
